Privacy policy

01What we collect

When you register a player we ask for the player’s name, date of birth and grade, and a parent or guardian’s name, email address and mobile number. You can add a second contact and a note for the coach.

• Player name, date of birth and grade
• Parent or guardian name, email and mobile
• An optional second contact
• Waiver and photo-release choices
• Which programs you booked and when

02What we do not collect

We do not ask for your postal address, because the only thing it was ever used for was card billing and the payment page handles that itself.

We never see or store card numbers. Payment happens on Clover’s own hosted checkout, and what comes back to us is a confirmation that the payment succeeded.

03Why we hold it

To run the booking, to know who is in the building on a given day, and to reach a parent if something happens during a session.

Messages sent through the Contact and Team camps forms are stored so we can reply to them, and are not added to a marketing list unless you tick the box asking for news about camps and clinics.

The date of birth is there to put a player in the right age group. It is not used for anything else.

04Who we share it with

Only the services that run the site and the bookings.

• Clover, which processes the payment
• Our website and database host
• Google, which receives anonymous site-usage data through Google Analytics, never names, emails or player details (see section 08)

05Marketing email

Keep your reference number. It is your proof of registration.

Anything else is opt-in and every message has an unsubscribe link that works.

06How long we keep it

Registration and waiver records are kept for as long as the academy needs them for insurance and safeguarding, then deleted.

You can ask us to delete your details at any time by emailing info@dichiarobaseball.com. If a waiver is still in force for the season we will tell you what we have to keep and why.

07Children’s data

Most of the people who train here are under eighteen. Accounts and bookings are made by a parent or guardian, never by the player, and we do not market to children.

08Cookies

We use Google Analytics to understand how families use the site, such as which programs they look at and where a registration gets stuck. It sets cookies that count visits without telling us who you are, and we have turned off Google’s advertising features. We never send your name, email or your player’s details to Google. You can opt out with Google’s browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. A booking in progress is kept in your browser’s session storage, which clears when you close the tab. We also count visits with Vercel Web Analytics, which sets no cookies.
